Aurie has been preparing taxes since 2013, starting at Liberty Tax. Years of learning the trade inside a national chain showed her two things: most tax returns are simpler than the marketing makes them sound, and most clients never get the time it takes to actually understand what they're signing.
She founded Borinken Tax to do it differently — small, personal, owner-on-every-return, available in English and Spanish, and open all 12 months. Accurate returns, the legitimate deductions and credits you're entitled to, and the patience to walk through it with you until you understand what you're signing.

Aurie participates in the IRS Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP) and holds a 2026 Record of Completion — which requires annual continuing education on federal tax law, tax-return-issue ethics, and IRS procedure. She also maintains a current IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
